Philadelphia Phillie and 2008 World Series champion, Ryan Howard, is in the Christmas spirit! On behalf of the Ryan Howard Family Foundation he is donating athletic apparel valued at approximately $1.2 million to the Philadelphia School District. A very happy Philly mayor, Michael Nutter, took to Twitter to express his gratitude Thursday afternoon stating:
“Ryan Howard Family Foundation just donated $1.2m to Philly Schools for sports uniforms and footwear. Incredibly generous. Thanks Ryan!”
The Ryan Howard Family Foundation launched in 2009 with the mission of supporting underprivileged children and families.
