Amarylis (Lily) has handled Hispanic media relations for Verizon Wireless while working as an account coordinator for Crenshaw Communications. Prior to joining Crenshaw, she was with M&C Saatchi Sports & Entertainment, where she coordinated PR activities for the Reebok, Rockport, and Red Bull accounts. She served as PR liaison during Major League Baseball’s World Baseball Classic, where her responsibilities included media relations and special events for the Hispanic media market. Additionally, she was the communications coordinator at the Tampa Bay Rays, where she assisted in coordinating pre-game entertainment and post-game concerts.
Fully bilingual, Lily is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Media and Communication Arts at Pace University. She is a graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Aramis’ path to journalism began during her studies at the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she received her bachelor’s degree in the subject. During her second year, she interned as a political writer for New York state newspaper, The Legislative Gazette. Aramis then went on to aid in the development of the university’s first Arts and Entertainment Magazine — The New Paltz Nugget, where she worked as an editor. Among other firsts, Aramis was the first Entertainment News anchor for the town of New Paltz’s local TV station. After graduating, she went on to work for two large non-profit organizations in New York City, enhancing her writing, communication, and technical skills by assisting the founders of both organizations. During that time, she also worked as a contributing writer for a NYC circulated magazine, Student Maximus.
Aramis is currently working as an account coordinator for a media company, with a client roster that includes Katie Couric, Alec Baldwin, and Don Imus. She is a full-time Media and Communication Arts graduate student at Pace University.
